The 5th Day

Thursday April 24, 2014                                                                                                                  5 hours
Thursday was a difficult and long day, but was also interesting. we succeeded more then the usual days, because we got right on task with a difficult topic. The main topic was transformers, which is how AC current is transform into DC current. He stated that a transformers has a primary and a secondary,as he proofed that they are the main transformation source. I learn that in order for it to work you need to have a Primary with a Secondary, a Wheatstone Bridge,an Output Filters, and a Voltage Regulator. He then asked if i was unclear about anything ,but i had understood it because he repeated multiple times.I then ask about computer codes and somehow, we ended talking about computer understandings. I learn that computers only understand binary numbers. We talked about binary, octal, decimal, hexadecimal, and BCD binary coded decimal numbering. He then talked about how it chemically is functioning. As we finish talking about the project and complete the 5 hours, we talked for about 3 more hours about business.Thursday big challenge was like any other usual challenge, but was more overwhelming because of variety of information. I had overcame the new information, by taking notes and reviewing it after. Thursday personal goal that i achieve was knowing more about batteries and AC/DC current.

The 4th Day

Wednesday April 23, 2014                                                                                                              4 hours
On Wednesday, we had started off the hours by watching video's on the internet, that narrow down multiple information that my mentor wanted me to comprehend. After we watched plenty of videos, we began to talk about Coils and Capacitors. My mentor explained how they react through current and what happens when they react. Then the proceeded by talking about low and high pass filters. Since I had understood those easily, we moved on quickly to Relay Current Controlled Switches. When then encountered single pole/single throw, single pole/double throw, double pole/single throw, and double pole/double throw. Throughout talking about Filters,Coils,Capacitor and Switches. We finish Wednesday by successfully going over everything and talking about car stereos. I learn about the stereo wiring colors meanings and fuse contribution to car current. Wednesdays challenge was to understand information that i wasn't familiar with. After Wednesday i learn personally how to install my stereo, that i was seeking to install for a long time.

The third day with my Mentor

Tuesday April 22, 2014                                                                                                                 4 hours
For the third day, my mentor had me went over the information that he had me gather with out his convenience. He had me gather information for transistors, digital circuits, capacitive and inductive reactance. I demonstrate what I understood and ask questions after I had demonstrated. The demonstration to my mentor went well and we started off by talking about the resistance in current flow. He had described how resistance work and had pointed out that the lest resistance the faster the current moves. He then explain that some resistance have color codes and that each of them have a different meaning. The first 2 are the valves, 3rd is multiplier, 4th is tolerance and 5th is watts. Then he provide a table that shows how you can calculate the resistance frequency number. We then went further in AC and DC precise voltage range, by drawing voltage waves. Then I learn that the wave length is called "Peak to Peak". We went on to talk about Inductive reactive and Capacitive reactance, as he explain that it's function and it's resonated frequency range. Then he explain it in parallel and series form. The series was called Tank Circuit and parallel is Band Pass Circuit. He then show me how you firmly calculate the frequency. We then talked about coils inductors and how the voltage transports faster if the coil is wrapped around a iron cored. He stated that the material, wire size, and coil circular size would make a difference. We then finally finish talking about Diode and Zener Diode. We went over Forward Dias and how the only provide one way current and how Reverse Dias can react both ways. Through today's hours, I had no real challenges, but the usual of comprehended unknown information. I over came that usual challenge, by taking notes and later searching them up. I personally learn how calculate different the frequency, that I can take to an advantage.

The Second day with my Mentor

Saturday April 19,2014                                                                                                               3 hours           Since Friday was my first day with my mentor, we focus on re-evaluating the information that we had encountered. We successfully went over the symbols, circuits and current resistance. Thought out the the 3 full hours, my mentor constantly repeated the information to make me comprehend the information clearly. We sat down in his office and consistently talked about batteries in parallel and batteries in series. From that I learn that batteries in parallel add current and batteries in series add voltage. We then calculated the currents voltage frequency in several objects. After calculating the current, my mentor explain how negative is consistently is trying to transform to positive, and how it take place in wiring. He then show what physically happens, as he use a headphone and a speaker as an example. There most of the explaining he visually to provide description and some verbally. Then 30 minutes before I had complete the 3 hours, we took a step outside an used a electrical tester to test the current frequency on my mentors car battery to define how the electrical tester works. Then we encounter my new obstacles that I was determined to figure out. Then we finish off, by getting a little off topic, by talking about house electrical instillation. Through Sundays hours, I had encounter small challenges , such as verbally information that I didn't understand, but over came them, by asking my mentor to show me physically, visually, or by showing examples. Sundays personal growth was how to use an electrical tester that can help me trough my career as a real estate conductor .

First 2 hours

Friday April 18, 2014                                                                                                                    2 hours
On the first 2 hours, my mentor focus on making me comprehend the general basic information any electronic engineered need to know. He succeeded in informing me how there is variety of symbol units, and how they all are different important meanings that are use in engineering. He also explain that there is two type of circuits, such as series, witch is one in top of another and parallel, which is line up directly horizontal to each other. He also explained what occurs with the negative and positive current through electron flow and conventional current in battery circuits. He show that through the process they can be divided in several currents witch will allow the current to separate. I had encounter several challenges on comprehending multiple information, but over came them, by taking notes and drawing pictures to visually understand the information. It had taken me several minutes to comprehend some of the information given, but the rest of the time that I overcame them I use to an advantage and learn the information that was given. I had personally learn how the circuits work and what the symbol's mean incase i need to used them for personal purposes.
